Rescued as a baby from the fate we all know he'd have faced, Dixon is likely Lebanon's first rescue pig. What he's missed all his life is some sort of enclosure to shelter him from cold, wind, rain, heat, and sun.
The shelter is located at an elevation in rural South Lebanon, in a rocky valley that gets very cold in winter. Each time we fundraise for Dixon, the local community (in a region filled with anti-pig sentiment) sends us disgust messages and threatening to never support our shelter.
All we're trying to do is build the foundation for compassion. All Dixon wants is a soft surface to walk and sleep on, and an enclosed space to shield him from extreme weather. See how much he needs an enclosure.
